Napoleon Water Polo Alumni
I am e-mailing to re-establish our Napoleon Water Polo alumni distribution list. It has been a couple of years since we did this last, and I again would like to contact all people interested in supporting and following Napoleon High School Water Polo.
I will be doing the same things as last time we initiated this distribution. We will be keeping everyone informed with the activities and schedule of the Men’s and Women’s water polo program for the up-coming season. We will be starting a fund drive to purchase some new shot clocks to go along with the new timing/scoring system purchased, part of those funds came from the remaining monies generated from the first fund drive we held. And we will be sending out issues of the Water Polo News every month, to the participants in our fund drive. Details of the fund drive will be sent out later.
But first and foremost, I would like to get the e-mail and/or mailing list up-to-date, and try to get our schedule for the season distributed. I had some visits from 3 distinguished water polo alumni this summer at our NAC invitational, so I would like to make sure that if someone is in town during one of our events, they take some time to drop-in and say “Hi”. It’s great to see the “old guys and gals” again. If there is anyone that doesn’t get this e-mail, and would like to be added, please forward this e-mail to them, and they can drop a quick note to me, letting me know they would like to be added. The distribution list is long, so you won’t be able to review the addresses, because there are currently four different distribution lists (My e-mail malfunctions if my lists get too long). And, depending on the response we get there may need to be more. Also, I will also keep a mailing list of people that do not have regular e-mail access, and this information will be mailed to them by regular mail. This option is available to anyone.

First I would like to give you links to the website for this season. Tim Zuch (The man behind the NAC Swimming website) has agreed to incorporate the Water Polo web-site into the NAC site. This will be a significant upgrade to what we have done in the past. So change to this link in your favorites.

Fund Drive Information
We are currently accepting donations for new shot clocks. The High School athletic department is contributing a portion, and we have some private donations already. If you can help in this effort, I will make the same offer I did during our last fund drive several years ago. All donors will receive (via e-mail or regular mail – their choice) copies of the monthly Napoleon High School “WATER POLO NEWS”.
We need to raise a total of $1,800.00 for the pair of shot clocks. As we did in the last fund drive, any additional funds raised will go toward, miscellaneous equipment for the water polo and swimming teams at Napoleon High School. Paddles, kick boards and fins will be the first items purchased with any left over funds.
Make checks payable to “Napoleon High School Water Polo” and place “Shot Clocks” in the memo. You can mail the checks to Napoleon High School, 701 Briarheath, Napoleon, Ohio 43545 – Attention Jay Finn.
Other Notes
The Water Polo Team will be working a milkshake stand on Monday of fair week, so if you’re in town during fair week, stop by Monday and say “Hi”.
Our first two weeks of the season have us hosting tournaments – Aug 24-25 is the boys tourney (The girls are at Upper Arlington – for Columbus area alumni), and Aug 31 and Sept 1 is the Napoleon girls tournament. We expect to have games inside and outside during both tournaments – Love to See You.

Napoleon Water Polo Alumni and Friends,
The Napoleon High School Water Polo Teams have started preparations for the 2007 Season. I have attached our first edition of the Napoleon High School Water Polo News. There will be editions issued at the beginning of each month. All people donating to the Alumni fund drive will receive copies via e-mail or regular mail if requested. If you haven’t donated and are still interested, details are in the Polo News.
I would also, like to remind you that Tim Zuch is authoring our web page now. It is bigger and better than ever. Tim does a tremendous job with this as well as the Napoleon Aquatic Club web-site. You can find us at this link.
